I had an episiotomy, forceps and tearing - to say I was in excruciating pain post birth would be an understatement! Didn’t do the deed again for a good 6 months to which I then got pregnant with second 😑 Just make sure you got plenty of lube 🫡
I tried at 3 months pp after a 3rd degree tear and episiotomy from forceps it hurt so much. So we tried again at 6 months still hurt but was manageable with lube think I was almost a year later before it was comfortable for me.
I had an episiotomy and healed really well and quite quickly. I had a midwife appointment 2 weeks pp and asked her to check it, to make sure it was looking okay. Then had sex 3 week pp, it wasn't painful, just slightly uncomfortable for me
I had an episiotomy and a 3rd degree tear. We tried at 8 weeks and it was a complete fail. We had a bit more success at 10 weeks pp but I felt some discomfort from where my episiotomy scar was for a long amount of time. It wasn’t actually a problem with the healing or scarring but turned out to be hormonally related as once my period came back all of the problems went away but because I was breastfeeding this was delayed for some time.
I done it 6 weeks after and was absolutely fine! 😊
I had forceps and episiotomy with tearing so like hole to hole 😭. We had sex around 8-9 weeks I think? But we’re fooling around from 2ish weeks. Nothing to be TMI but nothing penetrative, but just building up over a few weeks to comfort levels/etc. I got checked at 1week and 6 weeks with my stitches and they fell out around 4/5 weeks. The first time was awkward and uncomfortable ngl. Foreplay is a must and honestly SO MUCH LUBE lmao. Like if you think it’s enough you probably need more. Go slow! I found on top and laying with a pillow under my top half to have the bottom on a slant were the most comfortable. You will be drier after birth as well so it will be uncomfortable on the inside as well. I’m blessed with a very doting partner who sees to my needs so he would always make sure I was really really ready. And for the first few times it never went like all the way in lmao, but it was helpful easing into it. I’m 20 weeks PP now and it’s a little uncomfy at times but mostly great 🙏
I’m 8 months still hurting. Have to get positioned right. I would not rush into doing it if you do not have to
Literally I have just had sex for the first time time today and I am 10 weeks Saturday postpartum and I had forceps along with an episiotomy! Dont rush 😬
6 months 😅
We did at 5 weeks as I felt ready and just used lots of lube and took it at my pace. And it was very enjoyable. But it honestly depends on if you're ready and healed 😀
I just did yesterday at 6 weeks after we had the remaining stitches removed from my stage 2 tear. The area felt tender but not painful more like sore and delicate. But I actually enjoyed it, my husband took everything at my pace as I felt comfortable.
4 weeks pp here we havent since I was 5 mths pregnant. Probably wont happen, but I have this fear that my stitches will tear.😱 Also, I’m way too exhausted to be thinking about it. 🫠😢
I feel the same way I'm terrified about the pain. It will be 11 months since for us and. Not wanting to have sex yet but the fear is real x
Are you booked in for a 6 weekly check with the doctors? You could ask them to check for you? My baby is 8 weeks next week and I haven’t had sex yet and I also had a episiotomy! I think you’re fine around 6 weeks if you feel comfortable with it
