Definitely the full 6 weeks, possibly even longer. With my first, we waited 8 weeks (c-section). I had a vaginal delivery this time and I'm even more afraid to have sex again than I was after my c-section 😂
We waited the full 6 weeks with my first but we’re 2 weeks PP and did “outside stuff” and now I want the full thing 😂
I waited like 3 months when I had my first, but I was a lot younger. I tore and I was terrified. Idk this time though.
The reason for the 6 week wait has nothing to do with bleeding or tearing. You have a dinner plate sized wound from the placenta and it needs that time to heal. Sex or any introduction of outside bacteria increases your risk of infection exponentially.
@MK yes I am aware! If you google it, there are different recommendations so I was wondering what other people were doing.
6 weeks is how long I’m waiting I’m still bleeding a little bit had baby Oct 2 with no issues or tearing but I’m going to okay it safe and wait 6 weeks
I definitely plan on waiting as long as I need to. I just had back to back pregnancies and I need to allow myself to heal.
The doctor told me to wait one month after birth

My last baby i had sex at 4 weeks pp I've tried already this time (2.5 weeks pp) but it was still uncomfortable so we stopped. Gonna wait another week.
