You can still get your period while breastfeeding/pumping. I asked my OB when I should expect my period back, and she said it can take from weeks to 6 months or more. Everyone is different. I still haven't received my period and I'm almost 3 months PP
If you aren’t exclusively breastfeeding the likelihood is it is your period returning. Everyone is different though. With my first my period return at 14 months, my second at 16 months, my third is TBD.
I'm exclusively breastfeeding, and I had my first pp period when baby was around 10 weeks. I was bummed! I thought it would stay gone longer since I'm exclusively breastfeeding.
If you're not removing milk *as frequently* because you are feeding formula sometimes, then you could have increased your odds of getting your period sooner. But that's only if your body is skipping feeds/pumps. Some women just get theirs sooner though. It's totally normal. With my first I got 1 period at 6 weeks when I slacked a bit and used stored milk... Then I stopped skipping sessions and it didn't come back again until 18 months pp. It's so weird.
I got my first period at 7.5 months. Fully breastfed! Period lasted same amount of days as before pregnancy but was twice as painful
Hi! I also got what I think was my period around 7/8 weeks post (so annoying because I bled for 6 weeks!! I only had a week off!) I’m also mostly breastfeeding, but I do pump and we give her bottles of breast milk too, not sure how that ties into it, but I’m pretty sure it’s normal to get it even if you’re breastfeeding! I’m no expert though
