How do people cope with having IBS while being with your child all the time?

Struggled with IBS my whole life and after having my daughter it’s become so much worse, I’ve gotten tests done in case it was something more serious but they say it isn’t. I don’t get much help or support from family and when I get a bad flare up it’s so scary if I’m on my own with her sometimes it genuinely feels like I might pass out. It’s hard going out sometimes because I’m scared in case I get a flare up. My daughters dad is no help at all, he has her once a week and shows up at around 4pm after sleeping all day even if I tell him I desperately need help if I’m un well. It’s affecting mine and my daughters life at this point all I want to do is cry with the pain I’m in.

Is your issue more gastric or bowel? I did my best from my flare-ups when I ate as clean as I could (no fried foods, no gluten, no dairy) for gastric symptoms I take probiotics and prebiotics I take dyciclomine (prescription for stomach spasms) for bowel I try to get lots of fiber (sometimes I use fiber powder) and I drink aloe Vera juice to coat my bowel lining (check the sugar though lots of brands have insane added sugar that would upset my stomach). I hope you can find some relief from your symptoms because it's honestly a hellish experience to have IBS

Something else I would recommend is getting a food intolerance test done. It helped me learn what food are irritating my gut and after 3 years of avoiding them and healing my gut it's so much better even if I eat the foods that used to bother me. I did an online test through https://us.checkmybodyhealth.com/pages/sensitivity-test-uss?utm_term=check%20my%20body%20health&utm_campaign=USA+-+Brand+-+Feb+2020+(Aira)&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_acc=3566716633&hsa_cam=9299574881&hsa_grp=92254188697&hsa_ad=708684113757&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=kwd-867827799072&hsa_kw=check%20my%20body%20health&hsa_mt=e&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwyfe4BhAWEiwAkIL8sM6dECFc8pG4jFa-G15g4i8wjgdSbMAtXzMTbkuGexTkUm8tUKYl8RoChjkQAvD_BwE

I have bad IBS, and it’s a struggle with my daughter. I’d get a food intolerance test and demand a colonoscopy. I’ve had IBS for years and was constantly getting rejected for colonoscopies until I over exaggerated my symptoms - but better safe than sorry! I also would keep electrolytes on hand for flare ups - most of my light headedness is lack of sodium and potassium because it’s all running out. It doesn’t fix the problem but it’s a good bandaid! I’m sorry you’re dealing with it, it’s so stressful!!
