Does it make me a bad mom

So my daughter is one my bd is getting made because I won't baby her when she gets hurt instead I tell her she's fine and will be okay , instead he wants me to hold her give her kisses me personal I don't think babying her is the answer because like I'm not always going to pick her up she never going to learn to pick her self up when she falls that's why

There's a difference between babying and being there for your child. I think you should still validate their feelings and be there for them when they need you.. however, Children play into your reactions to things. If your kid isn't seriously hurting themselves then I don't think you're a "bad mom" because you're not giving in. Half the time my son turns around to see if I was looking at him when he fell, if I react as if he's hurt he will cry. If I don't, he doesn't cry. But im not disregarding or ignoring him when he needs me. I don't think ignoring your kid when they're looking for your validation is going to teach them much. There's definitely better ways to teach a child independence.

why cant he be the one to baby her and kiss her boo boos when she falls?? like u are busy i dont do that for my son also. i can tell he does it for attention too. but obvi when he actually hurts himself i am there to comfort him my poor babyy😿

@Dakota like she bumps into things all the time and she crys for like not even a minute but my BD wants me to hold her every time she crys and I tell him no cause then she will get use to me picking her up

@honey that's what I'm saying like if she really got hurt I be there but not if she dumps into every little thing like she has to get hurt to pick her self up how she going to learn , he said she one she too young is said no she's not this is the age she learns the most

My daughter’s dad does this! He doesn’t baby her, he has the same mentality as you, and I don’t think it’s an issue at all, I respect his decisions! Me personally, I baby my daughter bc I want her to know I will always be there if I’m around. I get sad if she cries and I just want to hold her 😂🥺
