Yes this is long but please help!!
I am CONVINCED I have hypothyroid or something similar. I have a lot of the symptoms. Extreme fatigue- I have trouble getting out of bed in the morning and I am exhausted all day long no matter how much sleep I get. I'm ready for a nap as soon as I get up. I'm always freezing- I always have been no matter how much weight I gain. Height- I'm 4'11" and stopped growing in 7th grade. Hair breakage- it's really bad every time I brush. Brittle nails- they don't get very long before they crack and they are thin. Constipation. Weight gain- some due to meds, some not. My cycle is irregular. I go a couple months without sometimes. Mood swings- I was diagnosed bipolar 1 a few years ago, but I haven't had any kind of depression or manic episodes for almost 3 years. Irritability- I go through phases where I'm like this for days then fine for a while. Memory/concentration- I have always had a poor memory and I was diagnosed ADHD a couple years ago. Part of me wonders if the BP1 and ADHD were misdiagnosed and are really something else. I also read that hypo can change nail color. Mine started to change while pregnant and hasn't changed back. My doc basically said it's not fungal so just put nail polish over it. My aunt and my great aunt both have hypo. My doc said that didn't matter because they weren't parent, sibling, grandparent. My TSH has been tested twice and was normal both times. 2nd time it was 2.13. Is it possible for me to still have hypothyroid even though my TSH is in normal range?
You could definitely still have something going on with your thyroid even though TSH is normal. Ask your doctor for the full thyroid panel and that should help shed some light
