It’s advised to wait 4-6 weeks from what i’ve been told, I did it at 6 weeks and was comfortable and I had an episiotomy and 2nd degree tears so waited until they had completely healed. If you’re healed and ready and want to there’s no reason you can’t x

5 months pp and it still feels slightly uncomfortable

The advice is to wait 6 weeks to allow your insides to heal where the placenta detached.

each person is different. i was okay after 4 weeks, no tear. i recommend waiting for your gynea to givd you the go ahead

Honestly it’s person preference. If you feel find to do so then I would! It’s scary for the first time. You might find it’s to painful or feel strange and that is completely normal! But it’s up to you if you feel ready go for it.

I had 2nd degree tear and waited till 6 weeks pp, was absolutely fine for me I knew I was healed as I had my check up and felt absolutely fine.

I had to have an episiotomy, trued at 7 weeks and was still in pain. I tried massaging the scar & gently working with my fingers for a week and got some water based, odourless lube. We tried slowly, it still hurt a bit and I'm nearly at 10 weeks now and it only hurts on first entry now. Try summer paracetamol 10 mins before trying as well! You'll get there 🩷
