stitches
i gave birth a week ago tomorrow and i had forceps delivery which they had to cut me, they’ve been stinging a lot and apparently it’s normal today i’ve noticed a white string hanging down, which is long but not to long, just wondering if this is normal or i should go get it checked. or does this mean that it’s dissolving and my stitches are fine, not to sure

I would get that checked hun I had the same type of delivery and one of my stitches popped open and I had to go on antibiotics. Defo get checked 🫶 better safe then sorry
I thinks normal, it's incase your stitches don't heal they can redo it.mine was the same
I had exactly the same and was told was all normal and good sign but definitely talk to midwife if you’re not sure !:)
A week after delivery the stitches have started to dissolve. It’s normal to find a piece of the suturing material. Good hygiene is key! Even if one stitch dissolved too early your cut would still heal. Change your pads frequently, keep the area clean and allow it to air. It’s going to be fine
