Stopping breastfeeding

I have been ebf my lb for 19 weeks and have decided to begin stopping breastfeeding. I want to do it gradually to avoid mastitis and I don’t really want to pump and give expressed milk I want to move to formula. I ideally want the be stopped by end of December. For context I feed every 2-3 hours, I don’t think he feeds at all for comfort as he always takes a full feed and I don’t feed him to sleep. He sleeps between 6.30/7.30 to 6/7am, and has been waking at 11pm and 3am for a feed (used to be one wake around 2am before teething/sleep regression) I have so many questions and struggling to find answers so would love if anyone has answers for any of the questions below, or has anyone else moved from ebf to formula and has advice! - whenever he took a bottle of expressed milk (irregularly from birth - 12 weeks but then started refusing a bottle) he was on a 0 teat, should I now move to a 1 ow 2 teat or wait until breastfeeding has stopped totally? - the last two days I have replaced his feed after his morning nap (around 11am) with a bottle instead of breastfeeding. What feed should I change next? And what feeds should be the last to be changed? - when is best to stop breastfeeding during the night? - the last two days I have given him 160ml of kendamil ready made (plan to move to powder but wanted to check he would actually take a bottle), he has been a bit sicky not straight after the feed but after his later feeds. Is this normal or does this mean I should try a different milk? - because he’s so young will he ‘miss the boob’ and be crying for it, or will he forget about it quickly? Thanks so much 😊

I’m on the same journey with my son who is 21 weeks. I’ve replaced 1 feed a week for the past 2 weeks so doing it very slowly. I’ve done the 2nd feed of the morning and the penultimate feed before bed. I plan on keeping the night and first feed of the morning until last but I don’t have a reason why. I use size 0 teat and would assume the sickyness is ok if a while after the feed? Not sure of other answers as trying to navigate it myself!

My little one is 20 weeks. We've always combi fed due to supply issues but were up at 80% breastmilk to 20% formula. I've dropped all feeds except mornings and nights (we're still feeding to sleep, so nights will be the last to go). I'm pumping once midday to relieve my boobs (but don't empty them fully), and I am just freezing for baths or if she's sickly in the future. I've been told to try expressing in the shower over pumping, which I'll probably try from next week. Using a size 2 teet, which we've been using for about a month now. I've actually bought size 3s to try tomorrow as she's sucking on the size 2s so much they're going back on themselves, so I think she might be ready x

@Hollie thanks for the reply! Also if you give a bottle how long do you then wait before feeding again?

Its about 3 hours but as it’s always bottle then breast I just feed in demand like I always have
