Getting Induced

This afternoon I went to the hospital because I felt I was leaking fluid. They tested it and confirmed my water did break but baby was doing good and I wasn’t really having contractions so they sent me home to see if I would go into labour on my own and if not they want me to call at 7:30 to let them know and they’ll schedule me for an induction. Less than an hour to go and I still haven’t gone into labour on my own I’m so upset I really didn’t want to get induced ☹️ but I have to do whatever is best. Is it as bad as some people say? I’m worried about it being more painful than going into labour naturally.

I'm ngl. Idk if it was just that my water hadn't broken but before getting my epidural I wouldn't say it's worse than my natural labor was. It got way more intense when my water broke but had that happened before I got induced my body would have started contracting. It's totally different for everyone. Good luck. You can do it!!!!

I labored for a good 7-8 hrs before getting the epidural and after getting it I was only in labor for another 5-6 hrs. Again good luck. Before you know it it'll be over and you'll have your precious little one

@Ashton thank you!! That helps a lot. I know in the end whatever happens will be so worth it!

@Sarah it's hard but you got this!!! Just keep reminding yourself that the pain isn't forever. You can do anything hard for 1 minute.

@Ashton thank you!!

@Sarah how’re things going for you ?

@Jessica I was in labour for just over 24 hours 😩 my body was just not progressing until the last second. It was rough but I avoided a C section and my beautiful baby boy arrived today on his due date at 3:24 am ❤️ we both have a minor infection because my water was broken for so long but we are doing good!
