Baby gate conundrum

Hi mamas, My kiddo is 8 months now, and we need to get some baby gates. The only problem is our doorways arent solid wood, theyre actually just drywall and so normal baby gates will damage them. Has anybody else had this problem? I was thinking we could reinforce the wall with something but I need to make sure its safe. Thank you! P.s. heres a pic of my baby for some visibility

Use pressure gates that don't get screwed in. They should be fine. But you shouldn't use pressure gates at the top of the stairs just fyi, just incase they come loose!

I’ve seen people attach wooden sections to the frame and screw a gate into the wood - could that work perhaps?

Why do you think the gates will damage drywall moreso than wood? If you use anchors and install them properly it should be fine. Most pressure gates also come with caps that can be mounted into the wall to make them more secure. It's a hell of a lot easier to latch and repair drywall than it is to replace/repair wooden doorframes.

I bought a gate from Walmart really nice with tension rods. You can twist the rod pieces just enough to hold baby’s/dogs wieght without ruining your walls

Disclaimer: My house has no stairs. I use the tension gates. No damage to the walls and easy to remove or move around as needed.

They have these cap things you can buy on amazon that you put on the baby gate so the walls don’t get ruined.

Off topic, but where did you get the cute bib/smock?! I’m doing too much laundry since staring solids and we definitely need one! 😆

@Erin i actually got mine at Ikea!

Thank you @Audrey & @Sarah !
