Baby fell from crib

My baby just turned 11 months. We still put her to sleep in her crib and not a floor bed. She managed to hold on to hanging mobile on top and jumped of the crib onto the floor. I don’t even understand how this is possible. I feel like the worst mom. She cried for 10 mins and then I nursed her to sleep.should I take her to the er? She fell face down and her face was red… We have stairs and stair gates and now I am questioning everything and what is safe. On of her favorite hobby is hitting the stair gates and trying to climb over it.

Go to the ER for peace of mind and to be safe. She is probably fine. Babies are so resilient. I'm really sorry this happened to you! We took our son's mobile out because he would try to pull it down and end up falling and hitting the crib rails every night.

My daughter had a big fall at 12 weeks. Without getting into personal details she ended up with a skull fracture. The er will most likely keep you under observation for a few hours. ( Not saying not to go. Just talking from experience) if she has consistent vomiting or anything like that there’s most likely a concussion. The fact that she cried is a good sign. They only way to know if something’s wrong is with a ct scan

Wow she’s going to be adventurous! Is there anyway you can lower the crib? My 10 month old started leaning over the edge with her stomach so I had to lower it. She’s a climber too 😅

Do what makes you feel comfortable but whenever your baby falls do not let them go to sleep after that’s what isn’t safe keep her up…Check to see if she has any lumps or bruises the redness is normal because she fell and hit her face. I would recommend monitoring her behavior first and if it’s no change then just wait to get her a pediatric appointment

My 11month old is very adventurous and he throws things to see how far it goes or how long it takes to drop then he tries to jump so we always have to be on high alert with him but he fell off the couch before and I was definitely concerned even though it wasn’t a far or hard fall and we have carpet it was just the fact he fell but he doesn’t really cry he be more shocked than anything
