Sex after having stitch placed
Have any mamas had a stitch placed in, if so we’re you able to have sex?
I was told I could after a month, but I’m scared it may cause bleeding or preterm birth.

They told us we could but we chose not to. I'm glad we didn't, we tried stimulation with hands, no penetration and that night a part of the stitch came out when I wiped after going to the loo 😵💫. Went to triage and thankfully all looked well and the stitch was still in place. So based on that I would advise against it if you can.
We had intercourse about 3 weeks after the cerclage was placed & I had no issues. I had the stitch taken out at 36 weeks & we had sex at least once a week. My baby will be here soon. I think everyone’s body is different
I had sex two weeks after stitch. (Recommended time) all was fine.

we got told a flat out no, from the moment the stitch was placed up until 6 weeks pp 🙃 nothing that could stimulate labour basically, so i wasn’t even allowed to hand express. they were also worried about infections. but i do know others that have had a stitch that could do all those things
