Following as I'm the same! I've got a doctors appointment on Monday so will hopefully get the all clear from them. I've been going for dog walks as usual but wanting to do abit more strength training x
If you have the means to do so, you could consider having a "Mummy MOT" which would help give you advice on how your healing is going and what exercise would be best to do
Where would you get a mummy mot done? Xx
I've got one booked in with a Physiotherapist near me. She will be checking things like pelvic floor, stomach separation etc. I reckon if you Google Mummy MOT near me there will be some physios or companies that run them. As an alternative, my mate did a really good mum and baby strength group class at her local leisure centre. She is a runner, so for her it was really important to focus on strength before she started running again to protect her pelvic floor, back etc. Again, maybe worth seeing if something similar near you? And also a nice way to meet other mums
I had episiotomy no forceps though. They suggested 6 weeks before any normal exercise, but gentle exercise anytime you feel ready. You could try ease in and see how it feels? The midwives just tell me to keep up my pelvic floor exercises from the beginning.
