@Jean-Marie i love that it helped them with their ppd, but im not planning on breastfeeding for many reasons, most of which are to support my mental health and give me more options when it comes to medication changes. She said that was wrong and if i just breastfeed i would never have to worry about taking medication for bipolar again. Bipolar and ppd are both miserable conditions but to me it was really dangerous to claim it as a cure all
Autism runs in my family. You can trace it back through generations, over at least 150 years. Countless individuals with a neurospicy bent - clever, artistic, maybe a little bit awkward and infamously rude on occasion ๐. Iโm proud to say Iโm carrying on the tradition of being weird AF. But the amount of people whoโve told me that a vaccine, sometimes only invented within the lifetime of me or my parents, is the reason I hate loud noises so muchโฆ you can HEAR MY EYES ROLLING.
Lol!
@Victoria Thatโs not okay! You do whatโs best for you momma! Unfortunately there will always be individuals who pass their unnecessary judgement and opinion. Whatever is healthiest for you is healthiest for your baby! You are doing great! :)
Oh my gosh!!! ๐๐๐๐๐ I wish that was true. I would make my sister have 15 kids and breastfeed all of them for 2 years ๐๐๐๐๐
My instinct would be to message back "Oh, you sound mental. Are you sure you're breastfeeding enough?" but that would be severely undiplomatic I fear (I say this as a diagnosed nutcase who is EBF my 1 year old. It hasn't cured my mental health, and in the difficult, hormone-driven early days, it quite possibly made it worse. You do you.)
@Katherine this is the best comment! I am laughing my ass off! I have severe bipolar disorder and if that was the cure Iโd sure try it!!!!
@Katherine right?? Id BF forever in that case! ๐
@Rose interesting..I think my mother in law is weirdd, doesn't smile much, does laugh rarely, mostly serious. She smiles like she being tortured, she comes off harsh, rude, cold, no facial expression.. the woman was like that when I met her at 55 ish. She so dry, wicked, sarcastic, sometimes considerate... just strange. I question her genes since I'm with her son .. how do you get tested and u know how some ppl are empathetic at someone crying. She smiled or laughs sometimes. Such evil especially if your pregnant and full of emotion. I don't think she thinks she strange .I should ask her if ppl think she odd... but how:/ I think her only daughter is odd too.. my guy seemed normal but you don't know until your living with them
I would think breast feeding ruins your mental health. I think it did mine... such dark thoughts, especially at night. Its such lonely place

Iโve have heard breastfeeding can chemically change your brain, however I wouldnโt go as far to say it can cure a diagnosis of that sort. Maybe for them they felt they had been cured and thatโs amazing!
