How do you know e.g bleeding? Scabbed etc? Mine had an umbilical Granuloma that was a red blob that looked unhealed and was giving off some gross yellow crusty stuff. Sorted it out with salt though

Yes I think he’s got the same as what yours had did you just salt wash it? Xx

My midwife said breast milk is good to use on the umbilical cord. Just 1 or 2 drops.

So you put table salt directly onto it to cover it (use a spoon or it goes everywhere!) and then cover the area and leave for 10/15mins. I used a plaster to cover it and keep the salt in place although on reflection that wasn’t the best idea as it hurt her to get the plaster off! Then wash off with water. I was told it could take a few times over a few days to work but mine worked first time. About an hour after, it bled a bit which worried me, then it went black and shrivelled up which was even more scary and then it fell off 😂and now it’s absolutely fine a day later. Perfect belly button. No pain or anything.
