Cat naps

My little boy is almost 4 months and for the last month and a bit has only cat napped. He goes to nap in his bed, with white noise on, in the dark and falls asleep independently but always wakes up about 30 minutes later. He doesn’t cry when he wakes and often tries to go back to sleep but can’t, so I get him. I know he’s still tired so make sure he has his next nap after the wake window and he repeats this again. He will sometimes nap slightly longer in the pram / car but never in his crib. He does sleep through the night which I am grateful for but wondered if anyone has been through this and knows how long the short naps last for or any other tips I can try. Thank you x

I’m going through the same so would love some tips! X

This has just started happening to us at 10 weeks! Very light cat naps in the day no more than 45 mins and she wakes if you breath too heavy x

My little one has only ever cat napped but sleeps well at night so I let her cat nap 😊

My two both did this and then both changed overnight when they turned 6 months. I did exactly the same as you, napped in dark room with white noise but it never extended a nap. Pram naps worked for my first, but my second would still wake. Then literally on the day they turned 6 months, their naps stretched out on their own. It’s frustrating because you can’t get anything done 30 mins 🫠 but hang in there 💪🏼

What time are naps and wake windows? Its good he sleeps through the night

My little one only has short naps and she’s 4 months around 20/30 mins apparently it’s normal for this age xx
