Premature labor

So my mom delivered most of her babies premature, she carried one full term, 2 babies 8 weeks early, and 2 were 13 weeks early and her last one was 14 almost 15 weeks early and sadly he didn't make it. I'm just curious if this could affect my current pregnancy and/or future pregnancies. Is this something that is carried genetically or is it just completely dependent on the mom. I'm just scared I'll have premature underdeveloped babies but I'm unsure how likely this is. Does anyone know? (Sensitive for loss of baby)

Sorry to hear… I heard this is not genetic and your pregnancy will be completely separate. In case of doubt, speak to your doctor. Also, nowadays the medical care has drastically improved from when your mum gave birth. Statistically newborn, even preterm, babies have higher chances of survival. Take care, hope this helps a bit.

From what I’ve been told it is not genetic However having an early term or pre term baby yourself increases the odds of subsequent babies being early
