Formula change help!

I’m at my wits end with reflux. My girl has screamed all evening - I can literaly see the acid going up her throat and causing her pain. It’s silent too so only tiny bit of spit up every now and again. She’s just had a bottle and really struggled to take it. I need to try something - iv been holding off for 8 weeks GP check next week but I can’t wait. I want to try a reflux formula so I’m just going to go buy one tomorrow. Anybody switched from aptamil to another brand of reflux formula and had a good experience? I’m thinking Sma or hipp

Ive never had an issue with sma

Can you get her on gaviscon? My girl had awful reflux thank god it didn’t hurt her like that, but every nappy change or lie down she’d bring up mouthful after mouthful. Massive change after gaviscon. Also put her in hipp organic, not the reflux formula as I read some of them are a pain to make up. You can only put the gaviscon in up to six bottles a day and she still takes more but she doesn’t spit up so much with the hipp when she has a non gaviscon bottle. Added benefit of the gaviscon is it’s free if you get a prescription as the reflux formulas can be pricier. I’ve read good things about carobel as well but haven’t tried.

I got baby gaviacon on prescription it was a pain but helped then found out my little boy was gluten and dairy intolerant and always wondered if that's what caused it x

We switched from Aptamil to Hipp Organic and Mam bottles. It was a game changer for us!
