Struggle to settle to sleep

My LO has been hard work to get to sleep for about 5x days, I usually feed to sleep but since last week he is wide awake when I lay him in the cot and babbles, fidgets, cried when I leave the room and takes 1-2hrs before eventually he knackers himself out and falls asleep Has anyone else gone through this? Not sure if I should put him to sleep an hour later, or should I stick with the usual routine and hope it passes as its just a phase 🤔

We had a couple of times when our little girl just wasn’t tired enough, depends on when your last nap is? I now have to wait until she is fully alseep before transferring to the cot.

We went through this several nights last week, usually feed to sleep too but when transferring was wide awake. We tried later bed time last night and he managed 6 hours sleep before waking which is the best he’s done all week so maybe worth a try. Too early to report on tonight yet but tonight was an earlier bedtime due to how naps fell today so not sure what will happen tonight 🙈😂🤞🏼 x

My LO usually wakes from his last nap no later than 3:30pm and I put him to sleep by 7pm, altho since Monday he has been wide awake and not going asleep until 8/9pm, he has started to stand, walk assisted and also army crawling x

How many naps is baby doing?

I was going to say, maybe the last nap is too close to bed time. We had this when she was going from 3 to 2 naps. Less time, but it was almost an extra half an hour trying to get her down

@Joanna same for us

Maybe teething

@Lauren my LO usually has 2x naps a day 90min - 2hrs in total a day, so one nap in the morning and another in the afternoon x

I'm having the same problem. My baby goes roughly 3 and a quarter - 3 and a half hours between naps in the day. She only ever naps for 30/40 minutes each nap. And she will go roughly 4 - 4 and a half hours before bed, sometimes 5 hours now. Tonight, she woke up at 4 from her last nap. I got her to sleep 8:25 by giving her a bath, then laying down with her to feed (she usually falls asleep but not lately). But i had to get up and rock her on my shoulder for 15 minutes tonight. I dont speak to her while rocking her, or it will stop her falling asleep x

Going through the same now usually bedtimes are a dream but now she's fighting it the last few days
