Baby’s hair

My daughter had a full head of hair when she was born but it’s now thinning and falling off. She also has cradle cap, but her doctor prescribed something for that already. My question is what can I do to make it stop falling and grow back? Every day, the front of her head has less and less hair, idk why this is happening.

Cradle cap probably has a lot to do with her loosing hair. I would try just washing it maybe once every week and oiling her scalp maybe every night with baby oil or coconut & getting her a bonnet to sleep in.

Totally normal! Babies hair doesn’t tend to stay for a lot of babies. It falls out in the first six months then grows back. Sometimes this is in the first year, sometimes they’re somewhat bald for a while. If the pediatrician is not concerned, I would assume it’s normal neonatal hair loss.

They make satin/silk sheets for bassinets and cribs to help with the friction part, but the location looks more like the kind of hair loss they get from the hormone changes after birth.

My daughter’s going through the same thing right now, I think it’s pretty normal per the other comments here!

Totally normal for them to lose their hair alongside mamas postpartum, it's related to hormone changes.

My oldest daughter’s hair fell out in the back around this time and took about three months to grow back. There really isn’t anything you can do to stop it or help it grow back faster.
