@Charlene hey, she did an internal examination x
Thank you. Did they have to use a speculum? X
Hi I was diagnosed with this after my second baby I have a uterine and bladder prolapse. I felt really down about it at first but as time has gone on I don’t notice it! I was referred to gynaecology it took me 18 months to be seen! It shouldn’t cause you any problems having another baby as I recently had a miscarriage and the gynaecologist said it wouldn’t impact any future pregnancies, Iv been referred to a pelvic floor physio. Honestly it feels souls destroying at first but you do get used to it and it’s not as bad as it seems x
@Charlene no she didn’t use one! If you want I can message you to let you know what she did? X
@Margaret hey! So glad you finally got seen! Did the gynaecologist do anything to help you? So sorry to hear you had a miscarriage, do they know if that is because of your prolapse? Have your symptoms improved at all? It does doesn’t it I feel I’m being dramatic but I feel so upset about it x
Honestly at first I thought about it every day, cried for months! Tbh I don’t even notice it. It doesn’t bother me now they did offer me surgery said I would need it at some point but I have to be sure about completing my family first. No the prolapse didn’t cause the miscarriage was just one of them things. The gynae said pregnancy wouldn’t be effected and I would of still given birth naturally she just said it would more than likely get worse after childbirth which is understandable but I know if I went down that route again I’d opt for the surgery after. Iv read so many forums where people have given birth with a prolapse and a lot of the time it has remained the same and not got noticeably worse x
Sorry didn’t answer about what the gynae did so she said I would need surgery at some point but because of my age and not being sure about completing my family in the meantime she referred me to physio and I was also fitted with a ring pessary, this is to help with the symptoms of prolapse but I don’t think mine fit properly so I took it out but I’ll be seen at the pessary clinic every 6 months so they can make sure I get a different size and it’s more comfortable x
@Margaret thank you for replying! What does the pessary ring do? Sorry this might be tmi but when you have a look can you see your prolapse? You don’t have to answer if you don’t want too! X
I feel like I have a prolapse im 10 weeks pp. how did the gp assess you to tell you that you have one?
