For those struggling with baby not napping in cot…

Second this!!! I am soooo in for every cuddle!

@Maria honestly I got to a point where I was like why am I forcing her in her cot? Am I doing it for me or because other people are telling me to? Because I’d actually rather get the cuddles while I can

We don’t really have this with the cot as she’s been napping on my bed for months. And now I so much enjoy having this quiet time for myself scrolling and reading mostly with no stress checking on her!

Yeah gave up on the cot for naps why force it he was getting so upset, he naps as a little spoon either on our bed so I chill with him or on his platmat so I can leave him for 10mins if need to get stuff done but mostly just hold him and enjoy the snuggles they are growing too fast anyway don't want to miss any snuggles

I gave up on our cot a while ago and I feel it’s the best decision I’ve made letting go of this expectation planted by who knows who. Yeah it’s probably going to be hard later down the line but it saves my sanity looking forward to every nap because I get a cuddle and she’s having a wonderful nap she wakes up smiling with red cheeks

Same here! She loves napping in our bed and if I need to get up and sort something out then I will as she’s always in the middle and can’t roll anywhere yet. But yeah mostly enjoy laying next to her watching Netflix on phone or reading or even a little sleep myself 😂

I wish my little girl would do this! I literally try everywhere for a nap if she won’t nap in her cot and is fighting it we try the pram if she doesn’t want to nap in the pram I try the car seat and that usually works 😅 and when I run out of options I give up until she gives in x

@Shannon she would only ever sleep on me. Which was fine but she’s getting so heavy it was getting uncomfortable and then she would start getting distracted if she was in the living room. So would try in her room but she wouldn’t go down so that’s how we eventually found out the big bed was the best place for a nap!

I contact nap for her long one and like you one of my favourite parts of the day 🥰

Love this! I’m feeling the pressure of dropping the contact naps as he’s due to start nursery in a few months, but he has never napped in his cot for more than 20mins or so, and part of me doesn’t want to stop the cuddles!

@Leah my little girl won’t contact nap at all 🥲 she won’t even fall asleep having her milk at bedtime anymore either she just sits up pushes off me tries standing you name it 🤣

My little girl stopped contact napping at 7 months old and I miss it so much 😭
