It’s common but it doesn’t mean you cant get support. Please talk to a doctor there’s medication that could help. For me, none of the home remedies like ginger and crackers and all that worked for me. I was miserable and suffering at home till I ended up hospitalized and got some help and it made it a lot better
Try the unisom and b6 combination. Sleep/rest on an incline. Once i started eating like a grazer, small bites of food every hour (i set a timer), i noticed a difference that same day. If i wake up at 3am and force down 3 saltines, id wake up soo much better. Best of luck, you are not alone and NOT dramatic ❤️
I'm sorry people don't understand. I'd be so butthurr if people told me I was being dramatic. Def try crackers and ginger ale but don't be afraid to talk to your doctor either if it's severe.
Try eating smaller meals and more frequently drink water before and after u eat and eating white food like pasta white bread rice helps a lot also crackers when you first wake up in the morning good luck
Melon and ginger gummies were a life saver for me that and staying hydrated as much as I could cuz drinking water makes you nauseous but not drinking it will have you nauseous with a migraine dying so sip slow ad cucumber whatever you need to do to stay hydrated
Yes it’s “normal”. But you don’t need to suffer. I’ve lost 12 lbs in 3 weeks from the vomiting so they put me on zofran. It helps enough that I can get through the day and eat. It’s still small meals more often but it helps. I’ve found adding protein really helps. I drink a protein shake in the morning with the zofran to help settle my stomach. Very bland foods. Plain waffles. Toast. Apples and whatever fruit you can tolerate. Cucumbers are nice. Add liquid IV to your water if you can tolerate the flavor so you’re getting more electrolytes. Basically eat whatever you can tolerate even if that means you’re only eating saltines.
Morning sickness is the worst! I was out of the country and down for weeks
i have hyperemesis gravidarum… i’m nauseated all day every day, wake up pulling and fall asleep puking, can’t keep anything down atall. the dr gave me zofran, it’s the only thing that slightly helps. i keep saltines next to the bed, honey wheat pretzels, water and tums… my fiancé and his mates are worried about weight loss and frequency of vomit although i’m happy and energetic at least once a day usually. i see dr again on the 20th, but usually this type of morning sickness is genetic, my mum suffered the same with both my sister and i… and it’s twins, so ive accepted it. the weight loss is troubling, so i may need to do iv nutrition or weight gain shakes.
@Cat yes!!
i’m 5’9… i’m down to 113 10 weeks in, so i’m definitely going to need more nutrition.
jolly ranchers are a life saver… get it? haha no, but they help nausea and last a long time.
I’ve been super nauseous 24/7 since about 6 weeks. Sour hard candy helps. Squeezing lemon into ice water helps me drink water. Unisom and b6 kind of help, same with the seabands. I also need to eat a little bit every 2 hours
Gingerale, Saltines, dry toast and peppermint gum/candy. It helps ease the nausea. Also, try to take some acid reflux tablets. It helps cut down on the extra acid in your stomach.
