Doing enough with your baby

What do you mums do with your babies now they are 10/11 weeks? Do you track wake windows if so with what please and what are you doing during the wake windows? I feel like I’m not doing enough with her! Today we went on a walk and she was looking around lots then I play with this light toy she has. I set up a little sensory area on the floor but she cries so that doesn’t last very long 🙈

I use Huckleberry for everything. Tracking nappies, feeds, sleep. Otherwise Id be so lost, Im so forgetful especially with the tiredness and hormones. I put myself down about how much I do with my LO, but actually I always try and do a walk a day, tummy time with toys, a bath, sensory lights. I think that is plenty for her development. Even cuddles and bonding during nappy/outfit change is valuable for them. Your baby will start enjoying sensory activities soon enough. I think what you described is plenty. And Im sure you do more that you dont even realise is massively important for her but seems minuscule for us. Im sure youre doing enough!💕

@Debi thank you so much that’s reassured me. I think I need to start using this app more I started doing it for the sweet spot of her naps xx

Don’t be so hard on yourself ☺️My friend loves the huckleberry app and records everything. I downloaded it used it for about 3 days when I remembered and sacked it off because I’m hopeless at that lol Have you joined any classes ?? I’m the same at home it all seems a bit boring … but we do some classes in the week which gets us out and about

@Kelly I haven’t joined any classes but I would like to go to one! I need to have a look near me I’ve got a fear she’ll cry the whole time but I need to get over that 😂🙈 xx

My baby is 10 weeks old. I don’t track his sleep or naps or wake windows I just go with what he wants. When he’s awake I tend to just lie him on his playmat and he looks at the toys above or I show him black and white cards or give him things that make noises etc. I sing to him, talk to him and once he’s grouchy I pick him up and he sleeps. I do go to classes twice per week please don’t worry about baby crying or anything. He fell asleep during his first one and always seems to feed since which is Sod’s Law but there’s always babies crying, feeding and sleeping and everyone just knows it’s normal so no judgement. I worry I’m not doing enough sometimes but these babies are just happy with us being around and talking and cuddling so please don’t worry x

@Kelsea oh I used to be the same and to be honest still get like that sometimes in public settings . But each week the babies can take in turn who wants to warm up there lungs and I promise no one takes any notice 😂
