No judgment just thinking

My LG is 19 months she hasnt got a tv in her room and most days where home we have tv on in back ground with either ms rachel, sensory video, bluey, or super simple songs etc, sometimes she watches other she just plays and not bother with it, on a night we have a little play, read a book and bit of night garden on my tele in my room and she goes to bed, i still co sleep but want to stop this as im due baby no.2 in may, shes never had a problem sleeping in her room she just doesnt sleep well on hwr matress (think its to firm) before baby comes im going to get her a single bed but was thinking maybe a small tele to play the stuff we have on downstairs in the background or even when its bedtime i can lay with her in her bed and watch night garden. Is she to young for a tv in her room? What's everyons thoughts?

I would not do a TV in the bedroom at this age honestly. This already sounds like quite a lot of screen time during the day. Maybe something like a Yoto or something else audio-based might be a good replacement? Mine likes to nap with her Yoto playing.

Its not a lot of screen time really where only home on a wednesdays and weekends and we do other stuff at home, a tv on in the background doesnt mean shes sat infront of it from waking up to bed, she has an alexa and tonnie box as well of loads of role play toys it was just a thought so we have her full routine in her room and little treats like movie in bed in my room, i always had a tv in my room as a young child and never effected my development.

What's wrong with screen time in general if you're giving them daily attention and looking after them constantly? I was against it and my little one ended up having a tv in her room cause we had a spare small tv, also until she was 3 years old for few hours in the night time she had white noise in the background. She's 4 now and sleeps quite well by herself in her own room.

@Laura my LG is at nursery 2 full days a week, we also do baby groups twice a week and have a chill day on a Wednesday cos i work from home and have a weeke d just us, doing errands and that, we play and read books and theres always sound in the background with music cos she loves music wether that being from the tv, alexa or tonie box, i just didnt know if i should put a tv in her room so have that cosy time in her space to watch a movie or chill time rather then in my room all the time, its noy for her to sit and watch tele 24/7 she wouldnt sit still long enough to do that shes to active for that c
