I did too always get it checked they are always happy to. In my first I got checked about 4 times I think and they were lovely each time
Yes I did, and they were great. Always go and never feel silly! Babies really do have quiet days despite what they say, some days my little boy was doing somersaults and others he would be really chill.
It’s always better to get checked and know that it’s nothing xx
definitely call up. i don’t think i’ve ever heard of a single midwife not taking RFM seriously. i had a few episodes of RFM in the third trimester because my daughter had turned to breech so and i always went in for peace of mind. the midwives were always so nice
I went in last night, at 23+4, and they checked heart beat of baby then she started kicking! You might just have the same, I don’t think they use the straps for measuring movement just yet but they’ll deffo check on you!
They will never say it's Normal nor will they ever make you feel silly. They ALWAYS prefer you go. I did call once and they said from what I described (wasn't reduced movement), it did sound like nothing to worry about but still said "if you would rather come on to put your mind at rest, come on up". Always, always, always call if you're concerned and never delay it. Theres not a situation possible where they wouldn't rather see you and tell you there's nothing wrong than you not call them. There's not a limit either. I was in at 30 weeks with a woman who'd been in every day for a fortnight. They still took her seriously, they still checked everything and were actually amazing with her and arranged to move forward her induction because of her situation (she was just over 37 weeks).
I had a summer baby and we had two quite warm days where she was barley moving compared to her usual activity and I waited it out and she went back to normal and I told the midwife at my next appointment and she told me off saying I should never feel silly and always always go! I was walking around a lot more as the older kids were off school so I knew it was likely that and the heat but even so she said don't do that in future so definitely get yourself checked out if you're worried they'd rather see you 100 times for nothing than 1 time that's something you've put off x
I was in hospital for a little while and so many people came in for reduced movements. You should feel your baby move up to 10 times in an hour and if you say it’s been a couple days defiantly go and check it out, your not silly you’re a mum worried about your child. Another thing to add though sometimes if I’m super active during the day I don’t feel much movement either but that’s only because I’m busy and probably don’t notice it normally a hot bath or playing a baby heartbeat sets her off X
They always want to hear from you please don’t feel silly, just give them a call 🤗
They are always helpful and understanding and told me to come in after one day reduced movement. Was seen within the hour. Was pretty quick and all sorted
Thanks everyone, I was going to call up at lunch time but it’s like she knew and she’s been on the move alll morning now 🤣
Dnt feel silly calling up I had it at 26 weeks they said they’d prefer it for me to call ad go up than sit at home worrying
I was with my first, always go in if you notice a change x
Never feel silly! Chances are baby just moved position, but better to get checked x
