Is anyone else’s baby skipping traditional crawling?

Being a bit overreactive first time mum I guess…. My LB was a very early army crawler, he was on the move from 5 months old. But then…he discovered standing, started pulling to stand on our hands a bit shy of 7 months and he has no interest in being flat anymore… he is close to independent walking, but still refuses to crawl on his hands and knees… and as a result can’t master pulling to stand on higher surfaces either… I know that crawling is not an official milestone anymore, but I just can’t help but bump into all this info online how important crawling is

My little boy went from army crawling to standing then one day the normal crawling happened. I think he built up some strength constantly pulling himself up.

I didn’t put that much effort into “teaching” him to crawl but occasionally when sitting with him on the floor, I’d put him in the position and support him until he’d collapse and army crawl away

Yep we've just army crawled for a few months now very much cruising everywhere with the occasional army crawl but pretty sure he'll skip proper hands and knees type crawling and go straight to walking when the time come

Mine has been an army crawler 6 months, he’ll get up on hands and knees to pull to stand but he’s learned to get around that way I can’t see him stopping until he walks. I’m at peace with that, I was really worried it would delay him but he’s pulling up and began wobbly cruising.

My little guy did exactly the same as @Tasha x
