Walking but not really

So my girl can take like 5-7 steps independently. But that’s it. The last 2 days she’s been practicing standing up on her own without holding anything. She’s also gaining more confidence to walk- like not prompted by me, pushing off the cough with her back to go walk to something, etc. Please tell me we’re close to actually walking without falling. And anyone else with me?

We aren’t even that far. Normal to not be walking still even up til 18 months. Sounds like your girl is on the right path!

We were at doing that with about 2 steps at a time for over a month (started in August), then it increased to 5, for about a week, then 7-10 (that's when I read we could have considered taking 5 steps before falling as walking), and like 2 days later it was full blown walking, running, and climbing around Halloween.

Yes! My daughter is the same. She’s been taking 2-4 steps on her own since Monday.

Our baby isn’t walking at all yet. The variation is mobility, language, and fine motor skills at this age is wild.

my daughter is 1 year and 4 months and still not standing independently or walking independently. I was worried too but I made a post and other moms have experienced the same. Were not alone. Babies go at their own pace.
