I would say observe this month, if it happens again with heavier flow, go see ur Dr. When I had it, it was discovered that mine was fibroid. The longer it stayed, the thicker and bigger the clot. The heavier the flow. It was such a traumatic experience, that each time I talk about it, it takes me back to that point. I had them removed via surgery. So it's back to normal. That may not be ur case, it may be cysts but go see ur OB.

I get clots occasionally, especially if I have a really heavy flow. I’m currently on my period and just had some clots but nothing that I thought looked concerning

Clotting is not normal. Go to your doctor. It’s probably not an emergency but it’s definitely a sign of fibroids or other issue. I had clotting my whole life and didn’t know it was an issue until I told my doctor I was so tired so she ran labs and noticed I was anemic. Turned out it was because I lost so much blood each month …. From fibroids. I thought it was normal. It is not! I had the fibroid removed and my bleeding is still heaven but no clots.

*still heavy

@Ash I feel you 💯. My period got so bad I was crying just thinking about having a period. So traumatic

I had mine twice this month, second time was heavy with clotting as well. Mine isn’t usually like that, some clotting but definitely not as much as this time. I thought I was having an early miscarriage because I wasn’t supposed to have my period.

My doctor told me that small, light blood clots are generally considered normal, especially during heavier flow days, that they are a result of the body’s clotting process as the uterine lining sheds. But if the clots are large and frequent that you should get it checked out

I never used ti have clots or heavy periods prior to the birth of my son. After his birth i noticed quite big clots. Nurses used to say that was due to stay seated and breastfeeding. But this has not changed after 3.5 years now and they are even larger. Every time i mention it to the GP i get told its just part of heavy bleeding… however the period are not as heavy they just last 3 days.. i would say its medium flow. But clots are quite bug the first and second day My blood tests are fine but im still not convinced since we also been trying for a while for a second baby. Reading all these comments now i have to definitely request an ultrasound.. Worried might be a fibroid.

My health visitor told me not to worry about clots unless they were constantly the size of a 50p or bigger
