Separation anxiety

my baby is starting to develop separation anxiety. For context I’m a sahm. Is there anyone dealing with the same issue and what’re you doing about it 🙃

My girl is. She’s gotten to so bad that to sleep it either has to be on me or in the bassinet next to me. She’s almost too big for it. She’s slept in her crib for almost 3 months but she had the flu last week and now it’s hard for me to leave her side or be out of her sight. I don’t know what to do

Patience, patience .💕, I know it feels like forever but truly this phase passes too.It will eventually. Just more cuddles and attention to baby. 💕

@Offy it’s hard to give her attention when I work majority of the day. I hate having to work but if I didn’t we’d be in a financial crisis

I think the separation anxiety has to do with them learning at this age about object permanence and relationships between objects (on top, next to, behind, distance/close/far). I play a lot of peekaboo (outside the doorway, etc.) so baby knows I always come back and it’s not so scary when I walk away.

My girl has been getting worse with separation anxiety. For context I’m a SAHM, and I’m with her nearly all day every day. Once a month, I go to book club. My husband says he’s usually able to calm her down if she notices I’m gone for the first hour or so, after that she becomes inconsolable until I get back. She has also started to get fussy if she can’t see me when my husband is holding her. Luckily she will sleep alone in her room in her crib for the whole night, but during the day will not nap anywhere but on me. I have no advice but, it won’t be forever and I for one am enjoying every minute I have being her favourite person for however long it lasts.
