Arm flapping

Would you be concerned? She doesn’t do it all the time and tends to be with toys but when you read online it suggests otherwise?

Nothing to worry about! The trouble is that some of the ‘traits’ of autism are what typically develops babies display. I would seek advice if your baby is still doing this in a few years time. If it helps my baby displays the same behaviours.

Agree with the comment above. When it comes to autism spectrum disorders it takes more than just one symptom in isolation to cause concern, it takes multiple symptoms across a period of time to raise flags or to get a diagnosis. My little girl has recently started doing the same when she's excited and holding a toy.

This is just excitement.

Agree with all of the above, my baby does the same, but I just think it’s sign of good mood and energy, and always think it’s super cute. But you should seek more advice if that’s something that is worrying you

No, my son does it from excitement x

She's just excited x

Completely normal. My 8 month old does this

My girl does it all the time! As others have said, it's developmentally totally normal at this age. It's only potentially linked to neurodivergence as they get a bit older ☺️

No that’s perfectly normal & healthy

My boy does this when he's excited. Like when me or his dad walk into a room or if he's playing with toys x

Mine does is too she does it from excitement

I look at everything from the opposite to give myself a bit of sanity … if she didn’t do it would you think it odd that a baby is sat very still all the time? Google is a blessing and a curse 🤣
