Make sure your iron intake is high!
@Julissa L. I’m happy you can do that! It’s so necessary to take time for ourselves to get ready. If you don’t mind my asking what state are you in to get paid leave from the state? Like unemployment or something else?
@Sabrina will do thank you for the suggestion!
i feel you, i just stopped working friday because that was my 39wk point, i couldn’t go no longer because like u said you need to prep your mind and body for the labor, my job don’t offer anything but i’m trying to mainly just stay calm and not stress
I feel you mama. You definitely got this!! I was so over it and wanted to quit. Do what you can to take care of yourself as you can. I hope you give yourself grace however you give birth. I planned to do no epidural but was congested and discovered I had covid and my labor contractions came on pretty quickly and I couldn’t breathe to breathe through them. I had to make the decision to get an epidural and it was the best choice I could have made given the twist in my journey. Baby girl came 2/1/25 at 7 am - 11 hour labor 🙏🏽. Do what’s right for you and please give yourself grace! You’re so strong to keep pushing on with work! The finish line and meeting your baby is beyond worth the trek 🩷
@Teasia the things we deal with as mamas! I pray you have a smooth delivery and healthy baby! 🫶🏽
@Alyssa yes I’m happy you and baby are happy and healthy! My oldest son birthday is also 2/1! 🥳
you as well, i was trying to hold out longer cuz what if my baby 2 weeks late that’s another check but i didn’t over work myself and it’s just a motherly instinct like nothing more important than the health of my child
39 weeks Friday and boy do I feel you on pregnancy rage. I’m also still working 12 hour shifts and deal with shitty pissed off parents sometimes and I can’t be bothered to be nice anymore and do come off a bit rude and too straight forward lol but at this point idc. This is my last week working and will be admitted next Wednesday and induced Thursday so I’m just trying to get through this last week. Oh and the owners had the nerve to say you’ll be back in two weeks right? Like the balls of this man like him and his wife don’t have 4 kids and know the healing process. 😮💨 rant over we got this almost done!
@Alaina Oh my not 12 hr shifts with shiity parents 😣 def no ma’am NOT 2 WEEKS?! Tell them good day and keep it pushing! That’s craziness praying for healthy delivery for you and baby!
Aww I can imagine! I’m also 38 weeks pregnant today as well. I was fortunate enough to get paid leave with the state. However my actual job does not provide any paid leave, and I was able to stop working on Friday, with that same mentally prepping my mind and body for birth since I want to try natural without epidural 🙏🏼 hoping in times when you are not working you can try to relax and focus on child birthing!
