Postpartum Anxiety

How do you guys deal with the postpartum anxiety? I just delivered my first baby 5 days ago and I swear I’m so anxious and I legit cry everyday. Does it get better? Also I am on an antidepressant and being followed by a doctor for this….

You’re only 5 days postpartum it takes awhile for your hormones to regulate after birth so your emotions will be affected for a bit, probably lasted a week maybe just over for myself. If symptoms don’t get better I’d discuss it with your doctor, ppa & ppd are really common these days. I have ppa 7 months postpartum so if you wanna chat I’m here x

I’m currently feeling the same way I’m 7 days the midwife said not to worry til it’s been two weeks if that helps x

It does get way better ❤️ I had bad anxiety and cried constantly until I was about 2-3 weeks pp I’m now 5 weeks pp and doing so much better

Hi i feel the same, I'm just over 2 weeks since my son was born. Today was the first day I felt a little brighter. X

This is my third week and sometimes it still hits Me hard. It will get better! It’s overwhelming—-I know!

I am 14 weeks postpartum and I still struggle with PPA. The doctor put me on medication to help with PPD and PPA and I am working with a therapist to help. For me I get really bad anxiety leading up to the evening so I started to ask family members to come over just for a bit so I didn’t feel all alone.

Early treatment is vital. It can take alot longer to recover without it. Ask for therapy support. You're so early on, it's normal you're all over the place atm. Speak to the perinatal mental health team
