Cyclogest

How soon after stopping cyclogest did you go into labor? I’m currently 33 weeks. Stopped at 32 and have a pessary fitted due for removal 36 wks. Feel like my BH has increased

I stopped at 36 weeks when my cervical stitch came out. I had to be induced at 40+6. Reason for short cervix was due to LLETZ procedure. Xx

I stopped at 34 weeks. I was convinced I would go into labour as soon as my stitch was removed at 36 weeks, but thankfully, I made it to 39 weeks and went into labour naturally

@Shahnaz this happened to me too! Stitch removed at 36+2, and had to have waters broke for me at 40+6 😅 the consultant was adamant he was coming at 34 weeks, and we made it full term! I am so glad he had more time for growing though 🥰💙 x

That’s great to hear. I hope he will stay cooking longer even after it’s removed. I just have a big fear when it’s removed he will fly out 🤭🤭

I stopped at 34 weeks and went into labour at 40weeks+1 (I’m convinced this is due to the sweep I had) reason for short cervix was LLETZ procedure x

Hey ladies, I had a lletz procedure back in 2013 and now 17 weeks pregnant and having my cervix length scan in 2 weeks and so nervous about the outcome! They have mentioned having a stitch as an option depending on the result of the scan! How was this procedure for you and what was your cervix length in order to have to have one? Xx

@Charlotte hello! I started having my cervix checked at 16 weeks every two weeks , it remained stable then when I got to 23 weeks it shortened quite drastically and showed signs of funnelling. I believe a stitch is an option until 24 weeks but further along you get the more risky it is as they can rupture waters etc. I opted for the arabin pessary , it’s non surgical, a silicone ring which is around the bottom of my cervix supporting weight of baby. This has worked well for me. My length went from 42mm to 27mm in the space of a week. I believe below 25 is classed as very short. I had a previous loss at 24 weeks which we now know was undiagnosed IC. I would speak about your options and perhaps do the “ wait and see approach”. I didn’t want to have a stitch if it wasn’t necessary. Xx
