Stammer

When should this be a concern? My boy has been stammering at the start of his sentences for a few months now, once he gets going he’s fine and his speech is very good. For example he might say ‘my my my my my foot hurts’ I know it can be quite common at this age but how long do you let it go on before it’s not just a phase?

Might be worth asking for a referral as the waiting lists are long for speech and language? Is he at preschool/nursery could they advise?

Following because I feel the same ❤️

@Laura he goes to nursery, they haven’t mentioned anything and I haven’t spoken to them about it yet, thinking it would just be a phase he grew out of. I think I’ll speak to them after half term and then health visitor x

@Claire just asked them if they’ve noticed and are they worried?
