Online material to help your baby speak

My son is 13 months old and he hasn't said mama or Papa intentionally. He is talking a lot of gibberish , but not a word. I am talking all day with him . Still I am worried and not sure if I am doing anything wrong. Can anyone suggest good online resources that helps . I saw "raising little talkers " but not sure if it's worth 200 dollars

definitely do not spend $200 on something. is your son on the move by chance? a developmental therapist and speech path who evaluated my daughter both said that she appeared to be mainly focused on crawling and pulling herself up (and now taking steps!) and that her speech will come later my daughter is 12.5 months and isn't intentionally talking either. it worries me sometimes too, but I was told I shouldn't worry. it will come. I hope you get some helpful information, I just wanted to share my experience

I would say Ms Rachel on YouTube has helped our baby with language. She started her YouTube channel because she had a son with speech delays. I believe she's also trained in speech therapy.

@Ally true. My son is always exploring.. and walking and walking.

@Beebs Thanks

I wouldn’t worry about it much. My son is 13 months, 12 months adjusted and he is babbling and not saying much. Lots of moms and even our doctor tell me not to worry. It will come when they are ready. We also watch educational shows which have slowly helped.

@pria I'm not an expert, but based on my experience, it sounds like he is just too busy wanting to move! continue talking to him about everything, continue modeling simple words (more, mama, papa, all done, ball) and his language will come soon!

@Sunita , thank you. Can you share those educational shows

My first didn’t really start talking till 18 months now he’s 2.5 speaking paragraphs and never stops talking. 13 months is still really young I wouldn’t stress it mama

Normal! My older daughter didn’t say any words until 14-15 months then had a language explosion and is now ahead. Give him time. Try to introduce words about topics he’s interested in - animal noises are often a good thing to start - use different contexts like books, puzzles, and stuffed animals

I’d spend that money on board books! Little You, ABCs see touch feel, Yoga Bug are some of my favorites
