You can do a straight swap it's usually a taste thing swapping over I think most babies do great on alfamino but I found my girl was sooo hungry on it and her reflux was worse so we went back to neocate Although that's not usually an issue as it wasn't a reaction it just wasn't the milk for us

@Emma-louise thankyou he’s on omezprazole for his reflux and now got carobel so praying it works xx

@Becky we tried omerprazle but didn't work for us unfortunately so she's been on gaviscon since a few weeks old but does have movicol for the constipation

We were on if from aptamil pepti 1 and 2 weeks he was more worse fhan what he was on pepti 1 had a dietician appointment today she said if seems like ifs not a milk allergy as skin is the main symptom looks like eczema alone and i told her ive put him on goat formula she said to trial that for 2 weeks now. On sma alfamino, my babys tummy has become so bad that he whimpers groans at night while sleeping and so windy.

@Ansa that’s what my sons like on Aptamil pepti 1😅 groaning and can’t lay flat and full of wind😢

@Becky yh its horrible she told us to give goats milk a try she will call and check in on us in 2 weeks time. She said the hydrolysed formulas amino acid are not helping it may mean he doesn't need them😒

My son also started to lean to sleep on one side. We've not been diagnosed with cmpa yet. But we saw flecks of blood which was dismissed as congestion at a and e. How did you all know that your baby had cmpa? I've been reading about the formulas. I'm worried he won't improve with it

@Em nothing seems to be working for us, he was extremely fussy with feeds, mucus poo, rashes, screaming after every feed, and would not go down on his back or side with grunting and screaming in pain with his legs drawn to his stomach was awful to see x

@Ansa it really is he’s currently sleeping on me chest to chest which yes I know isn’t safe so I’m awake the majority of the time and it’s been like this for 5+ weeks🙄I’m hoping the amino acid formula works for us as the pepti 1 still had traces of cows milk. How is the goats milk going?

@Becky oh no how old is your luttle one ? Im really struggling with sleep too 😪 ive seen he sleeps better on his side maybe its worth trying? So far so good goats milk is meant ro be good for skin tummies immunity too ive seen and has helped those with eczema i hope it works for us its only day 2 but he is sleeping little better and drinking already x
