Postpartum Anxiety

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there was any support groups or anything anyone could suggest for PPA. I was previously on medication for depression & anxiety anyway which is now being gradually increased but I feel so isolated and am really struggling and don’t know what to do in the mean time. I don’t have any friends locally and though I I have a wonderful husband, as much as I try to explain how I’m feeling it’s hard for him to understand and I feel so lonely. This is my first miracle baby and our bond is amazing and am so in love, but the anxiety surrounding a lot of things is intense. . I’m struggling with visitors, not having the best recovery and just generally in need of some support really.

I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling this way ❤️ I would speak to your health visitor and ask to be referred to the perinatal mental health team. I've been suffering really badly with depression and anxiety since being pregnant, and they've been such a great support. You also get support until your baby is 1, too. If you'd also like to talk, I am more than happy to listen and try to help xx

Hi, sorry to hear that. I’ve been there after I had my son. Almost 2 years of postpartum depression. I tried to hide it due the shame as we think that we should be grateful but is really hard. Please reach me if you want to talk, you are not alone ❤️

Hello, I could have written this myself. Feel free to message me as someone who feels exactly the same everyday and lonely too.
