TERF?

I feel like this is a pretty left leaning app in most cases but I wanted to ask anyway. Am I a TERF for skipping over Jules part when my baby is watching Ms. Rachel?

Why do you skip over it?

👀

@Ella did you just call Jules part an it? Lol idk I guess I just don’t want to confuse my infant. And also not a fan of the musical skills or Jules stuffy, Patches.

Do you mean Jules Part as in that’s the persons full name? Or as in Jules’ part in something? I haven’t got a clue about anything to do with Ms Rachel so wouldn’t know but the wording is confusing

My kiddo doesn’t have designated tv time. He will watch it at my sister’s house with my 4 year old niece. I personally don’t like much of anything Jules or Mr Aron does. Nothing to do with personal preference or sexual orientation. Just don’t like their style. We LOVE Rachel, Keisha, and Natalie. My niece tells us to skip Mr. Aron’s part lmao.

Jules does music on the show with Ms Rachel and is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns @Donna Woods

@Mia I only asked because the comment that OP made asking Ella if she referred to Jules as it. I read the question as Jules’ part in the show. But then OPs comment made me question whether Jules Part was their full name because otherwise it didn’t make sense to me 😅

what do you mean "confuse your infant?"

OP was confused about ellas comment. yeah ella meant “it” as in the part lol the wording is weird @Donna Woods

*Rolls eyes* No, I didn't call Jules "it". Why do you skip over it? Ie Why do you skip over that part of the show? And yes. You sound transphobic.

Also the fact that despite ordinary reading comprehension skills, you interpreted MY comment as calling a trans person an "it" .... That's also transphobic

I would say yes.

@Hannah I personally just don’t like the style of Jules or Mr. Aron either. And Ms. Monica has way too much vibrato in her voice. Guess I’m a hater lol

Ok then!! Question answered I’m a TERF. Just don’t like it. Considering Ms Rachel faced a lot of controversy over adding Jules to the show a lot of parents stopped watching Ms. Rachel entirely I wouldn’t say I’m the worst kind of person but I’m not even mad lol

@Ella I skip over it bc I don’t like the sound of “them” and they confuse me and I don’t want my kid being confused either bc they are confusing.

Everything is transphobic these days 😂😂 like just because someone skips over that person doesn’t mean they’re transphobic, they aren’t required to like that person. We don’t do Ms Rachel in my house at all.

I guess the question is indeed answered 😁

@Baled Potato I didn’t play Ms Rachel for the longest time. We watched Ms. Moni but he got tired of her really quick and to be honest I did too.

We watch Daniel tiger if we watch anything. People are allowed to have preferences without being called names. Like nothing has meaning anymore because all words just get thrown around.

@Ella It was very clear what you meant and their response gives me the ick

@Baled Potato Skipping over a part because you don’t like the content vs skipping over a part because you don’t want your infant to be confused are very different things, and yes, one screams of bigotry. Saying “everything is transphobic these days” tells me everything I need to know

If you’re skipping Jules because they are nonbinary then yes, you’re showing bigotry. Pretty sure you already knew that though

@Elissa I could not give a crap less what it tells you. Skipping over whatever I want on my tv is my choice. If you want to watch it, good for you. Just because someone doesn’t, doesn’t make them transphobic. There ya go. Throwing words around that don’t mean crap anymore.

@Baled Potato exactlyyyy. I’m not a rude fucking person. If I just so happened to get caught up in a conversation with Jules in public I would treat them like anyone else. I personally just don’t want the watch the segment or want my baby to watch the segment. I mean it is confusing. Wouldn’t treat them any different in public though.

OP, your baby has no concept of gender so they won't be confused. You can skip over whatever you like, however, if your reason for skipping is you don't like trans/non-binary folks, then yes. That's transphobic. If your reason is anything else, then no, you're not transphobic..

😂😂😂😂😂

@Baled Potato no one is calling YOU transphobic. Incognito (of course they are incognito) asked if she was being transphobic. Her, specifically. (Yes I'm confidently assuming her pronouns). My very first question asked why she skips it. Because of course she could have a non transphobic reason. But as it happens, she has a transphobic reason.

The more y’all throw words out, the less they mean. It’s everyone who posts political posts or controversial post, post incognito. Duh.

I didn’t learn blue from blues clues was a girl til last year and I experienced no confusion about it as a child. Never even thought about the gender lol

People need to stop pushing their own political agendas and veiws and just let kids be kids. Let them decide their own way through the world and not have things focused upon them. We need to stop stealing the innocents of childhood. Also, people are entitled to their own views and opinions. They are allowed to like and dislike whatever they want and doesn’t make them anything other than human.

@Naomi yeah they won’t. They push their agendas on kids all the time.

@Naomi trans people aren’t pushing a political agenda on kids by simply existing lol. Are you pushing a political agenda on my kids because you exist? If my daughter knows straight cisgender women exist, she might think she is one and that would be tarnishing her innocence

@Baled Potato is very true. And it's so stupid because kids don't care about genders or pronouns. My little boy isn't even remotely interested in the fact that he's a boy he cares about bubbles, singing, snacks, puppy kisses, and mummy cuddles. He's also a huge Ms. rachel fan, but his little heart belongs only to Ms. Rachael. Let babies be babies and kids be kids, the world's a messed up place already let them enjoy the true joy of childhood while they can.

@Victoria~ your response is a pure push of political agendas.

@Naomi how is someone existing and getting a job as a youtuber “pushing their own political agendas”? they are literally just being a person like the rest of us?

@Mia do you honestly think a child understands any concept of trans or gender identity?? No, they don't. It's an adult concept. We need to stop pushing the adult world on child, they will grow and develop and decide for themselves who they are and what they are meant to be.

@Naomi they name call and drag anyone who disagrees with them. I don’t even bother anymore.

@Naomi yes my political agenda is to let everyone have equal rights. now, are you gonna answer for pushing your pro straight cis woman agenda on everyone because personally I don’t believe in that lifestyle and you are attacking my right to live in fearful ignorance

@Baled Potato where did I name call?

Awwwww😂😂😂😂

@Baled Potato i noticed is only their opinion that matters. If kid doesnt want to watch something, then they don't have to, so why force them. Kids don't like eating veggies either, but I don't see anyone making any political demands over that!

@Victoria~ you just name called me and assumed my gender identity. Very offensive.

@Victoria~ and you're trying to push your agenda on me and denying my freedom of view and speech, thus taking away my rights.

@Victoria~ and maybe just maybe actually read what people say before jumping on your soapbox. I said let kids be kids. If that offends you, then that's on you to deal with

@Naomi name called u as what?

@Naomi your pro straight cis woman Assumed my identity. Offensive.

@Naomi you’re wasting your breath.

@Naomi i agree that children don’t understand which is why it shouldn’t matter whether an INFANT sees a nonbinary person on a youtube video. it’s not going to suddenly make the baby second guess their gender identity so i don’t understand the problem OP has with jules
as OP stated, she doesn’t want to “confuse” her infant which is silly

@Mia if she doesn’t want her kid watching that, that’s her right as a parent 😂

@Naomi I’m using your logic on you to show you how absurd it is but you’re actually just doubling down lol and actually what you said was a trans political agenda was being pushed on kids and ruining their innocence purely because a child knows a person who refers to themselves as they/them exists
