Congestion

My 3 month old always wakes up so congested! I have a humidifier by her bassinet, I just got a new strong air purifier, and I got the extra feet to slightly raise the head of the Snoo. When it sounds bad at night we sometimes suction her nose, which helps but she hates it and I don’t want to overdo it and irritate her nasal tissue. She still always wake up with congested-sounding breathing and snot in her nose. Anyone have any other ideas of things to try?

no idea if this will work but i have the same problem and am trying the Frida Baby NoseFrida Saline Mist inhaler today

If you use Saline with the suction it works better & is less irritating - also second the mist inhaler .. when my son had a cold we used those but to be honest the most effective was squirting breast milk up there (it happened on accident (I have insane strong letdown) & the improvement was so stark we asked the paediatrician who said it was fine & his cold was gone insanely fast after that — I read that milk will change with feedback from what’s in our babies mouth in terms of what they need so there’s a constant communication going on so it was explained to me as a tailor made cold medicine 🤷‍♀️

We use saline with the suction and alone. I’m not familiar with the saline mist inhaler so I’ll check that out, thanks! I’m totally fine with shooting some breast milk in there 😂 and I really believe breast milk can cure a ton of things, I love how it adapts for specific pathogens, but it doesn’t seem like she’s really sick. I’m not really convinced that it’s infectious because she doesn’t have any other symptoms. I will think about trying that anyways just to see. Thanks for the suggestions!

Try an air purifier in the room

I have one just a few feet from her bassinet. It measures the air quality as between 97-100%
