@Kiera i guess that part is the confusing bit. Because for this cycle we used two vials and only on feb 3rd. So with ovulation happening the next day...it has only been 17/18 days since sperm has been placed inside. I can't be 4 wks pregnant. Thank you. So far I've only experienced one chemical, as for this one well there hasn't been any bleeding or anything like that. And so right now I'm still pregnant❤️
You could have not miscarried. There are a lot of reasons to bleed like that in early pregnancy and still be pregnant. Without confirming if your HCG rose or lowered after 48 hours you can’t know for certain. Hopefully they can get you in for a scan to get some answers
If you got pregnant again on Feb 4th you’d technically be 17/18 days pregnant but the doctors will still add like 2 weeks to that number because they’re weird and base it off of period dates not conception dates (even if you know specifically which day you conceived) but it’s possible you didn’t end up miscarrying & you should get an ultrasound done!! Or maybe it’s twins?🤷🏼♀️
@Ali i didn't go back for bloodwork that time because it was just so much blood that I was like "obviously I'm losing the pregnancy" yk? Then, I took two tests during that time, after the initial bloodwork and the test were negative, so I just let myself ride it out. I'm going in for a 2nd lab for this cycle (what I'm assuming is a "new cycle") and I'll see what the numbers are. I have a video appt next week with the prenatal team, and then we can go from there, but I can't get an ultrasound right now since I'm only 2 wks preggo? Despite what the numbers are showing. I'll see if the dr next week can get me in for one, though 🤞🏽 it's causing anxiety. I'm trying to stay calm, but I just need to know... if the baby kept, and if so, are they okay?! or if I did infact have a chemical and this is a new pregnancy, then is it just one or twins 😭😭🤣
I went to a women’s clinic separate from a doctors office and they did my first ultrasound at 4 weeks so I’d look in your area for something similar they might do it!
Gotcha. I didn’t realize you took tests after. I just know there are people that have full on periods and clots and still keep the pregnancy. You don’t have to worry about not taking prenatals. It was a short period of time and a lot of people don’t take them prior to pregnancy and are fine. You also would be considered around 5 weeks (at this time) because you are supposed to count from your last bleed not from when you ovulated. That being said, based on ranges, your HCG would fall in a “normal” range.
@MaryKate i just made an appt for one on Tuesday. They're gonna do a standard one and a vaginal. Thank you for recommending this!
So sorry for your losses. With any pregnancy it dates back to last menstrual period. So at two weeks you really are just ovulating. Two weeks after ovulating would put you at 4 weeks pregnant.
