My 18 month old says. I see you Turbo come here( that’s our dog) Turbo go outside I go pee or I go poop She tries to say I love you but can’t She says some numbers But she usually says a words. But she loves to sing. But every kid is always different. I worked in daycare with kids 6weeks 4 years old

is it normal for my son to not be saying phrases and only pronouncing words we can understand, if he’d say “ball” to a stranger that wouldn’t understand but we do

Mine says "Peek a boo. I see you. Where'd you go" "That's mine" "All done" "I love you. Bye. Have a good day" And she sings all the songs. She has 2 older siblings and she's the most advanced talker. I believe she just wants to be heard amongst all of our chaos
@jamie I also watch 2 other 2 yr old that don’t say as much as my daughter, just communicate in their own way right now!! Definitely very normal I’m sure you already do, but I try to basically narrate my daughters daily tasks and I think it helps a lot

@Laura the potty phrases are great! Mine says poop potty, go potty, go poop but nothing about pee yet even tho she will occasionally pee in the potty and poop pretty consistently

“I don’t know” “I want that” “I did it” “What’s that” He learns a lot of sign at daycare so sometimes he half signs sentences but trying to get him to say them lol he also speaks in A LOT of gibberish

My baby talkative some days others days she quiet out the blue she would say “ what are you doing” “Here you go” “I’m done” “ see ya later “ She said “can you move” once 😂
@jamie this is the same for son! His dad and I know what he’s saying but if he was to say it to anyone else probably not! My son starts speech soon so hopefully that helps!

My baby is a repeater, but says “yeah I do” “I’m all done” “I love you” “I go to sleep” “Mama hold this” “Ready set go” Things of that sort Shorter phrases too but those are her main “sentences”
