Awful bedtimes/naps

I just need some reassurance before I have a little cry! Is anyone else experiencing awful bedtimes and nap times? I don’t know if it’s separation anxiety but my LG cries the second you leave her and going back up to her doesn’t help as she just wants to get out of the cot 😩 We’ve ended up on the sofa a few nights as she wakes up and won’t resettle without me being near her which is so unlike her 😣 Slowly killing my soul off 🥺🥺

My son has been doing this for just over 3 weeks now. He has a floor bed so I've been ending up on the floor next to him for a lot of the night, then I give up at around 5am and take him into our bed. It's rough x

We had this for about 3 weeks but luckily seem to be through it now! We just kept to routine and did what we usually did and it seemed to just stop! Hope this gives you some hope

I read somewhere that at this age they start getting scared of things, my son recently developed a fear of the vacuum cleaner where he wasn't bothered before. Maybe she's developed a fear of the dark? Does she have a little night light?

We are also in it. It seemed to stop but started again x

@Suzanne No she doesn’t, I’ll give it a go 🙏 Thank you x

@Suzanne that’s interesting to hear. Idk what my son could be afraid of in his room other than the back of his eyelids 😂 he has a nightlight and he plays in his room often so is familiar with it 🤷‍♀️

@Emily when you say you kept to your routine, would you put your little one in their bed and leave them to be upset? Cos I’m struggling with that at the moment 😩 I’m no stranger to letting him have a little whinge in bed if need be but at the moment he’s insisting on being cuddled to sleep
