@Alicia I never really thought of getting a sound machine for her as I never had to but definitely gonna look at that and see what might work on her
Yes try a sound machine it works wonders for our little one! Also you can pre make bottles and get a little caddy to have in your room instead of going to the kitchen? We did this for a bit with my little one we lived in a basement for a bit at my in-laws so going up and down to the kitchen wasn’t very ideal for us
We had a prep machine at our bedside and white noise for my toddler x
We also have a 18 month gap and my son has just gotten use to her crying. It doesn't wake him up anymore.
I have the same age gap and my kitchen backs on to my daughter’s bedroom. We stopped using the prep machine because we’re making small bottles plus it’s loud in the night. Get a thermo flask to keep your water hot & a nuby rapid cool. Get some pre fill containers to prep your formula before your toddler goes down then you can make the bottle from your bedroom with minimal sound I’d say my toddlers got used to my newborn screaming but it’s the other way round, my newborn has got used to toddler tantrums & sleeps through them
Do you use White noise at all?
@Alana we never thought about using white noise she use to just sleep without any white noise as a baby but our living arrangements were very different when I had my 18 month old we were living in a 1 person studio apartment so a small kitchen and a corridor with no bedroom and the living room was our bedroom and living space and we were waiting at that point to get somewhere bigger due to the living standards were not appropriate for us and when we were living there under those conditions we would have the telly quietly on at night when we use to put her to bed as I guess you could say a form of white noise but by the time we moved she was 10 months old and got her introduced to her own bedroom and she still didn't need white noise and the living room to the new place is next to her too so she can still hear the TV on low volume whilst she goes to bed and sometimes we leave it on for a bit until she falls asleep but I'm by the looks of things would be ideally suited to getting a proper noise machine x
Hey everyone I just wanna say thank you guys for understanding and giving me some help on this. It has reassured me that it will be alright again thank you so much x 😊🩷
I guess the background noise and the tv was enough for her. It might be worthwhile revisiting the white noise
Do you use a sound machine? If not that can help her not hear the extra noises
