Short luteal stage

Does anyone have this and able to do anything about it without visiting doctors? Luteal stage appears to be 8-9 days long. It took ages to fall pregnant and the pregnancy to stick first time round - it never clicked that the luteal stage could be an issue. We have been trying nearly 6 months now for another baby and nothing. Our doctors aren’t the most proactive so just wanted to see if there were any other options before hearing myself up to argue my case with them. Thanks!

I have a short luteal phase 7-9 days long. The theory seems to be that we need better follicles and stronger ovulation to result in a healthier corpus luteum that produces more progesterone. I’m currently attempting to improve my diet according to the book ‘real food for fertility’ which will improve a number of factors that could affect fertility (for both partners) I’m also about to start supplements recommended in the book ‘it starts with the egg’ including antioxidants CoQ10, vit.E, vit.C, and ALA as well as Myo-inositol and NAC to improve insulin sensitivity, and melatonin at night to improve sleep and improve hormones. Honestly it might be a lot but I’m trying to improve a few potential issues. I don’t think it was recommended by either of those books but I’ve been taking vitex for a month now and will probably take it for at least 1 more month to see if it improves things. So far im 9dpo and no period yet but it could come any minute or I might get another day

Feel free to message me directly if you want to chat more about it, I don’t see many others with a luteal phase like mine!

Yeah I read something about diet but mines pretty good to be honest, apart from some of the snacking but I’m breastfeeding and constant hunger is real 😅 I’m on a ton of vitamins anyway because little one is allergic to dairy and eggs so got big food group I can’t have. Might have a look at some of the ones you have mentioned though. Can’t do much about sleep 😅 I think I might need to chat to the doctors just feel it’s going to be a battle. I just don’t want to go through another miscarriage especially now I know why it happened.
