Non-stop whining and screaming

It's never ending. He quite literally doesn't stop screaming. He maybe has some good days, but everything sets him off. I seriously don't know what to do anymore.

Sick? Headache? Ear infection? Unable to communicate causing frustration? Are any of those a possibility?

@Amanda he's been overly fussy since he was born. I've tried talking to his pediatrician about it and the furthest I got was meeting with an ot and speech therapist. They said he didn't fall into range of being behind on anything. His communication is pretty good but it's like he's just unhappy 24/7 no matter what I do.

Could it be an allergy/intolerance to something so he's uncomfortable?

@Natalie i don't know 😩 he doesn't show any signs of being outright uncomfortable or allergic to anything specific so it would be hard to pinpoint. His poops aren't as solid as I remember my oldests being at this age so it's something I think about. I'm unsure how to go about getting testing done.

I've heard people mention cows milk protein allergy (CMPA) causing really upset little ones. Also things like silent reflux. Could you ask the doctor?

Sorry your little is going through this. I’d get in to the dr and demand an allergy/intolerance test. Random- has your babies head shape ever been a concern? I know Craniosynestosis can sometimes cause pressure/headaches.

@Amanda his 2yr appointment is coming up and I'm definitely bringing it up then! His head shape thankfully has never been a concern! When he was younger I had him checked for lip/tongue tie and went to a chiropractor to check for torticollis, where he was cleared for both. It's been a struggle since he was born trying to figure out what's going on.

Come with lots of details. I’m guessing you’ve maybe already discussed some but I would say “I know kids are fussy, etc… but this is not normal.. for example… he’s been like this for two years…. *insert all you’ve seen*“… “based on what I’m sharing what are the next steps to get answers?” See what they say and then you can say “I want the following done…” if they don’t suggest something you want. I would not leave without a plan in place. And if they aren’t willing to do what you want then tell them to note this in their chart and that you’ll be getting a 2nd opinion as that’s how concerned you are.
