Breastmilk bottles

For those of you who pump, how much does your baby eat? I pretty much exclusively breast-feed, but when I leave pumped milk in a bottle for baby, I am not sure really how much to leave when I'm out.

Milk for breastfeeding moms regulates to about 30-32oz a day. Technically speaking, bottle fed babies don’t need more than that. Let’s say baby has 6 bottles during the day and 3 at night. 9 bottles total would equal about 3-4oz per bottle. Every baby is different but being that’s where milk regulates on mom, biologically, that’s all baby needs. Of course growth spurts happen, babies want more comfort, babies are more hungry at some feedings or less at others, etc. so some days will be different. But generally speaking, that’s enough for baby as long as baby is drinking breastmilk.

I fill my bottles to 4.5 oz but every baby is different! Sometimes he'll eat 2 oz and others he'll take another ounce after finishing the bottle.

My lactation consultation said breast fed babies need an ounce an hour. so generally breast fed babies eat 3-4 oz every 3 hours. My mom watches my little guy twice a week when I work and he is pretty much right on point with that. He eats about 3.5 oz every 3 hours. I leave a couple extra oz in case he’s still hungry after a feed

That rule Brianna said doesn’t apply to everyone 🤣. My baby eats 4 oz, every 90 minutes starting from his last bottle, sometimes it takes him 45 minutes to finish a bottle, so… 45 minutes later haha. It’s such a true thing every baby is different
