Bras - Plus size

For any of you big breasted plus size ladies out there! I am struggling to find bras that aren’t absolutely overpriced and are good bras. Last time I was measured I was 40H and I am definitely bigger now especially being pregnant. The bras I ended up getting were uncomfortable from the get go too so have struggled for a few years wearing decent ones and have resorted to tshirt/sports type bras with barely any support. I got measured at M&S and bought bras there. Ideally want to get measured from there again but maybe try get some bras elsewhere. Does anyone have any recommendations on places to go? For ideally sports bras & normal bras. Thanks!

What kind of budget do you have per bra?

I think last time I paid £50 for a normal bra. Ideally don’t want to do that again. Although I do know any bra in my size will be quite pricey. Idk if £20/30 is more reasonable per supportive bra.

That’s pretty similar to how much I usually spend. My favourite of all time have been the SKIMS nursing bras. I lived in them throughout my whole pregnancy (gaining over 80lbs lol) and still wear them now almost 7 months postpartum. They’re incredibly soft, stretchy, and feel like nothing on the skin whilst still lifting well. But the nipples show like crazy so have to stay mindful of that when out. For more covering bras, I would recommend the TALA sports bras, as well as normal bras from Bravissimo. They’re probably the most supportive bras for larger breasts I’ve found. I think all the ones I’ve mentioned are in the mid 30s range - but for more affordable options H&M bras are surprisingly good too. I’d recommend going to see them in store though, as sizing is a lot more inconsistent than the other brands. Plus M&S which you already mentioned.

Thank you!! Will have a look about at what you recommended! Really appreciate it

I’m a HH and m&s bra’s have always been my go to after trying other brands.. I’ve also tried curvy kate which are ok too.. I’ve always had to pay slightly more for what I need 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I’ve got some really good nursing bras from m&s that were £20-30 each.

I'm a 38GG pre pregnancy, I've tried elomi curvy Kate panache and tbh always go back to either M and S or Bravissimo own brand for comfort and fit. I've just bought a few non wired from marksies in a size up to try

I love Molke bras! I've worn them all through my pregnancy. I would recommend measuring yourself following their guidelines. They have excellent customer service and they are a UK brand. Boob or Bust is also an excellent Fb group for advice finding unicorn bras.

Definitely go to bravissimo xx
