Sleeping on your stomach

Is it safe to sleep on your stomach during early pregnancy? I tried sleeping to my side a few nights and i had terrible nights where i kept waking up and I couldn’t sleep.. Is it bad to sleep on your stomach during early pregnancy and when will I need to stop? I am 8 weeks today.

It’s safe☺️ I sleep on mine every night and have done with all 3 pregnancies, to my understanding it’s safe to sleep on your tummy until it isn’t comfortable to do so with a bump. My last 2 pregnancies I stopped around 30 weeks.

I'm in the same boat, 8 weeks yday. I brought a pregnancy pillow to encourage myself to sleep on my side but I chucked it out of the bed last night and was back on my front... 🙈

But maybe speak to your midwife for defo confirmation if you’re worried☺️

I'm the same initially heard you couldn't so tried to train myself to no success Then read that it's fine unless it's uncomfortable and there will be a point where the bump is too big to do it. For first trimester I think deffo fine then I'll ask my midwife just in case x

Thank you ladies! I havent had my initial appointment with the midwife yet so was wondering if I was doing anything dangerous. This is really helpful but will also ask the midwife when i have my appointment xx
